A logo for a small business can cost anything from almost nothing with a DIY tool, to a few hundred dollars with a freelancer, to several thousand dollars with a branding studio. The difference isn’t just quality. It’s whether you get a single image or a logo system built on a clear idea that works everywhere.
What you get at each level
DIY tools and templates
Fast and cheap, but the same templates are used by thousands of businesses. Fine for testing an idea; risky for a brand you want people to remember or trademark.
Freelance designers
Usually a few hundred to a couple of thousand dollars. You can get great craft, but expect little strategy unless you provide it. Check that you’ll receive all the file formats and versions you need.
Branding studios
Typically from a few thousand dollars, and usually as part of a wider identity. You’re paying for the thinking behind the logo, a full logo suite (primary, secondary, icon, wordmark), and a system of colors and type that makes it work across your business.
Why a logo alone often isn’t enough
A logo on its own can’t carry a brand. Customers recognize you through a combination of colors, typography, imagery and tone. Without those, your website, packaging and social media start to drift apart, and the logo can’t hold them together.
What should a professional logo include?
A primary logo and secondary versions, a small icon or submark for app icons and social profiles, versions for light and dark backgrounds, vector files you own outright, and simple rules for using it. If you work in more than one language, matching Arabic and English versions.
Our approach
We don’t sell logos on their own. Our packages start at $3,999 and include strategy, a full logo suite, typography, color and guidelines, because that’s what makes a logo work.
