About the project

VexoCyber specialises in cybersecurity for Australian law firms. Its clients hold privileged correspondence, case files and evidence on behalf of other people. We built the identity around that responsibility, drawing on the scales of justice to give protection a recognisably legal form.

Competitor identity study comparing cybersecurity wordmarks and symbols, including Catharsis, CYBRA and Triskele Labs.

We compared the identities of cybersecurity providers including Catharsis, CYBRA and Triskele Labs. Shields and locks made the category easy to recognise, but gave little indication of whom a provider served. For VexoCyber, we wanted a lawyer to recognise their own profession in the mark. That led us to the scales of justice.

Shields, padlocks and digital grids considered as familiar cybersecurity imagery.

Two VexoCyber symbols comparing the chosen squircle on the left with a circular inner bend on the right.

Look at the inside bend. On the right, a circular arc gives the symbol a familiar U shape. On the left, the squircle holds its straight sides longer before easing into a flatter base. We chose that more organic transition to soften the mark while keeping its angled shoulders. It brings the empathy of a trusted adviser into a symbol built with the precision of a security specialist.

Measured symbol drawing showing 1.2X arms, an X-wide opening, a half-unit height difference and 45-degree diagonals.

On our first 21 × 21 grid, the two arms stood level, like a scale at rest. We redrew the symbol on a 22 × 22 grid, raised the right arm by half a unit and set the lower diagonals at 45 degrees. That shift in weight gives the mark its point of view. The scales tip towards protection.

Comparison of cybersecurity competitors’ logos with VexoCyber’s blue symbol, wordmark on signage, and phone application.

Seen alongside the other identities, VexoCyber is recognisable by its outline alone. The taller right arm tips the scales of justice towards protection, and the open centre stays clear even at the size of an app icon. The sign and phone below the comparison show how those two details carry from one scale to another. A lawyer can pick out the reference to their profession before reading the VexoCyber name.

01

How are you different from an agency or a freelancer?

A freelancer gives you files. An agency gives you an account manager. We give you a small senior team that stays with you from strategy to launch, with identity, packaging, motion, 3D and campaigns all made under one roof, around one idea.

02

Which package is right for us?

Standard provides the essential foundation. Premium adds deeper strategy and a fuller identity. Iconic extends the strategic and creative scope. We’ll recommend the right level after reviewing your brief.

03

How long does it take?

Typical timelines are 3–4 weeks for Standard, 3–6 weeks for Premium and 5–8 weeks for Iconic. We confirm the schedule with the scope.

04

Do you work internationally?

Yes. We’ve built brands for clients in 30+ countries, from Riyadh and Dubai to London and Los Angeles, in Arabic, English or both. Workshops run live over video, and you’ll always know where the project stands.

05

Can you build our website?

Yes. If you’d like a website, you can add one to any branding package. We can build it with custom code or in Framer, and we’ll help you choose what fits your project. Premium and Iconic already include website and email design guides.

06

How do we get started?

Send us a short brief. We’ll book a call, then share a proposal with scope, timeline and investment. Every project starts with a brand workshop, and you review and shape each stage with us, so there’s never a big reveal to worry about.
